We at the Pacifica Education Foundation (PEF) are excited to welcome our returning and new families to the 2024 – 2025 school year. PEF is an all-volunteer organization, and as we kick off this exciting year, we’d like to extend an invitation to all Pacifica families to get involved with PEF.
For those not familiar with PEF, we are a membership-based nonprofit that supports Music, Art and Science programming across the Pacifica School District for ~2,700 students in TK through 8th grade. (You can see an overview of our programs here and a breakdown of how our funding is allocated here.)
Key ways to get involved with PEF include:
Become a member. Memberships provide critical funding for music, art and science programs across the district. You can see the various membership benefits here, such as discounts to nearly 70 local businesses and VIP early access to tickets to PEF’s historically sold-out spring gala. (And remember, all new and renewed memberships count towards your school’s fundraising total during our annual PEF Donation Days competition in November.)
Volunteer with PEF. We are actively seeking a Treasurer, a Communications lead, ambassador liaisons to Vallemar and Ortega Schools, and support in other areas including grant writing, driving memberships, and business partnerships development.
